Asia and Eurasia
In Search of the Cradle of Civilisation
Feuerstein, Kak & Frawley
This is a wonderful book examining, amongst other things, the extent of ancient India’s influence on the development of Western civilisation. People educated in Western schools may well be surprised at the sophistication of ancient India and the cultural and intellectual debt the West owes to that part of the world. There is also some discussion of the astronomical significance of the Vedic literature, and a healthy companion to that would be Sullivan’s “Secrets of the Incas”, also in the Bookshop section.
